Mountain Ash, better known for his output as Lusty Zanzibar steps up for meplus1 with 2 slices of analogue electro-tinged deep groovers.

'Leap' kicks things off with a potent late night groover reminiscent of transformative evenings in the dark. All shuffling synths, bubbling stabs and slightly discordant pans. A leap into the unknown, a step into the night.

Next up is ‘Atlantic2’ that takes a step further towards the dancefloor. Taking a leaf from classic Chicago house, paired with Mountain Ash’s particular take on rhythm, makes this an increasingly interesting listen. Percolating b-lines highlighted by ascending synths and deep stabs. Like having a tete a tete with an otherworldly future.

The cherry on top? Label boss’ nom de electronica Antikue delivers an introspective, almost mediative, slo-mo interpretation of Leap with his ‘Leap of Faith’ rework. New drum patterns paired with selective sample rates makes this a sound to be heard. Taking you inward, and releasing you into the world renewed.
